Easter 2012
On Monday 9th April, CIE students celebrated Easter with some traditional activities. The event was organised by Matt and David, with decorations by Cecil, and assistance on the evening by Alan.
Activities
The evening began with introduction of typical Easter festivities, such as egg painting and design. Although the weather made it impossible to go ahead with the planned Easter Egg hunt or any outside games, the students and teachers gathered in room 303 to compete in an egg-painting competition.
Lots of Familiar Faces
Encouragingly, there was a fantastic turn out from the Level One students in our programme, who were all eager to learn about Easter and participate in Western traditions. The students were enthusiastic and enjoyed the evening's events.
Some Cracking Designs
Apparently we have some real artists in Level One! Despite being newcomers to Easter and the idea of egg-painting, we saw some real talent that night. The students really produced some innovative and colourful designs.
The Winners
Although we were impressed by all of the eggs painted by CIE students, there were a few outstanding designs that warranted individual prizes. The competition was judged by David and Matt, and the prizes went out to the eight best eggs.
